Activities for Memory Care

Activities Are the Heart of Life at the Judith Brogren Memory Care Center

At the Judith Brogren Memory Care Center, every moment is an opportunity to spark joy, foster connection, and celebrate each resident’s unique story. Our days are thoughtfully structured to offer a comforting rhythm, while providing activities that are both meaningful and enriching for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Here, engagement isn’t just encouraged—it’s gently woven into daily life. From music and movement to art, nature walks, and cognitive games, our programs are designed to promote confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging. Activities are adapted to each resident’s abilities and preferences, helping everyone feel successful, stimulated, and connected.

When your loved one becomes part of our memory care community, they’re not just moving into a safe and supportive environment—they’re becoming part of a vibrant circle of friendship and care. Our compassionate Activities Director takes the time to get to know each resident personally—learning about their background, interests, and comfort level—so we can gently guide them toward programs that bring out their best.

Whether it’s sharing laughter over music, finding calm in a sensory activity, or enjoying the simple pleasure of a nature walk, our activities are designed to nurture the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

At the Judith Brogren Memory Care Center, each day is thoughtfully designed to engage residents in meaningful activities that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. Our diverse calendar offers a harmonious blend of physical movement, creative expression, cognitive stimulation, and social connection, all tailored to the unique needs of individuals living with memory loss.

Morning Rhythms: Gentle Starts to the Day

At the Judith Brogren Memory Care Center, mornings are designed to begin with comfort, calm, and familiarity. For some residents, the day starts with a peaceful stroll along our secure garden paths—connecting with nature, enjoying fresh air, and easing into the morning with quiet reflection.

For others, the comfort of a warm cup of coffee and a conversation about the day’s news provides the perfect start. Soon after, residents are invited to join gentle chair exercises and light ball toss activities, designed to promote mobility, coordination, and confidence—all within a supportive, encouraging environment.

These soothing routines help residents feel grounded and energized, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

Visits from local schoolchildren bring warmth, joy, and meaningful connection to residents at the Judith Brogren Memory Care Center. These intergenerational moments spark memories, encourage social interaction, and promote emotional well-being—often reigniting a sense of purpose and identity for residents living with dementia. Whether reading together, sharing a craft, or simply enjoying a smile, these visits offer therapeutic benefits for residents while teaching children empathy, patience, and the joy of building relationships across generations.
