How to Make the Most of Your Visit to Memory Care

Here at Cedar Hill, nothing makes us happier than hosting visits with our residents’ loved ones. We strive to create a relaxing, fun and stress-free atmosphere. Here are some tips to make the most out of your visit.

Call Ahead

Give us a ring and let us know you’re planning to visit so we can create a space just for you. Let us know how many are coming and whether you’re having a meal with us. We will be sure to reserve a table for you.

Bring a Furry Friend

Do you have a friendly pet at home who is up-to-date on their shots? Don’t be afraid to bring them along for a visit too. We host a wide variety of visiting dogs and cats at Cedar Hill. We have even had visits from a bunny. At Cedar Hill, we are a pet-friendly facility, which means pets can be visitors too! Residents and staff love having four-legged friends around.

Make Our Space Your Space

We offer plenty of places to set a backdrop for a successful visit. Feel free to gather in your loved one’s room or gather around the fireplace in our dining room. Weather permitting, you can use our outdoor patio space and sit in the sunshine.

Know What To Bring

Our residents love receiving gifts from visitors. Some suggestions include books, magazines, stuffed animals, toiletries and art supplies. If you are planning on bringing food items, our staff will be happy to hold them in either our fridge and food pantry. In addition to helping keep resident rooms clean, your loved one can have access to them at any time and they will be well accounted for.

Join in an Activity

There is always something going on in Memory Care and we invite you to join right in. Feel free to participate in sing-alongs, art projects, tending to our vegetable garden or listening to a reading of the Valley News. Our activities staff love to include family and friends in all the fun.
