The Village at Cedar Hill admits persons who are 55 years and older who meet admission criteria guidelines without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, or disability.

THE VILLAGE: SERVICES & AMENITIES

The Village at Cedar Hill offers a wide variety of services and amenities to our residents.

MEALS

Residents can choose what meals to take from Cedar Hill, up to three meals per day. We pay particular attention to our food. For breakfast, you may be served French toast with banana sauce one day and poached eggs with corned beef hash another. Or how about waffles with strawberry sauce and whipped cream?

Every Sunday, we feature a brunch that many family members of Village residents have come to enjoy. French toast, fresh fruit, pancakes with biscuits and gravy are among the items that entice families back.

Our main meal of the day -- lunch -- might feature sirloin tips with rice pilaf and snow peas or roast leg of lamb with mint jelly and roasted potatoes or the "catch of the day." Guests are always welcome.

Health Care Services

All residents have an emergency response system they carry with them 24 hours a day. Our personal care attendants are available 24 hours per day to assist with personal and health care needs. We also have a full-time director. Our nurse does regular health and wellness screenings and we have contract physical therapy, occupational therapy and other professional services available seven days per week at our Health Care Center.

Village residents receive priority consideration if they should need to move to Victorian House or our Health Care Center.

Indoor Facilities

In addition to our large apartments, the Village has lovely common areas complete with fireplaces for our community activities and for family or private gatherings. We have a whirlpool room. We have a community multipurpose room we use for a variety of educational, recreational, social, and religious activities. Residents use our greenhouse for indoor and outdoor gardening. We have a beauty shop on premises.

Outdoor Facilities

Outdoors we have a large terrace perfect for relaxing on during our warmer months. On our grounds we have raised beds for resident gardening. We have parking for residents and guests.

Other Services

Residents receive weekly housekeeping, private mailboxes, and all utilities except telephone. Every room has two telephone hookups and satellite TV services. Our vans are available for trips to the doctor or for a group outing.

We have been the caregivers for my mom for a long time, and though we knew we were no longer doing all that needed to be done, it was very difficult to figure out what to do next.
