VICTORIAN HOUSE: SERVICES & AMENITIES

At the Victorian House, we seek to provide a comfortable home for residents who don't need to be in our health care center but need more care than at a traditional independent and assisted living facility. Victorian House has just 13 residents, and our residents enjoy that cozy environment.

Medical Care

Victorian House has a certified residential care manager and certified nursing assistants to provide care 24 hours a day. We have a medical director, professional nursing overview and medication administration.

Residents may keep their own doctors, as long as they will make house calls. Or residents  may choose to use doctors who work specifically with Cedar Hill and its residents. We also have registered rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals who work with our residents and staff.

Pharmacy

Cedar Hill has a contractual agreement with a pharmacy that specializes in providing medications and consultation to long-term care facilities. All of a resident's medicines can be bought through that pharmacy, or the family can choose to use a different pharmacy.

Housekeeping, laundry and A Hair SALON

At Victorian House, we provide housekeeping and laundry services. We have telephone hookups in every room and satellite TV service. Residents have large size rooms as well as several common areas they use.

Cedar Hill has a hair salon with a licensed cosmetologist who visits weekly.

We eat here, too!

The quality of our food is important to residents, family and Cedar Hill. For breakfast, we might offer cream of wheat, fried eggs, sausage and toast. The main meal of our day is mid-day and we might serve baked lasagna, shepherd's pie, roast beef, beef stew with biscuits, roast pork or "the catch of the day.". Our desserts range from bread pudding or ice cream to brownies and fruit. For supper, we serve a lighter meal that often includes soup -- corn chowder and cream of broccoli are popular -- and a salad plate or sandwich. Please come share a meal with us.

We often host family meals in Victorian House's wicker room or on our outdoor patio in the summer months.

Small Pets

We do allow our residents to have small pets. We have a special charge to care for each pet. If you would like to bring a pet to Cedar Hill, please speak with us about it. We are a pet-friendly facility.
