Teddy's Place: SERVICES & AMENITIES

Special, Attentive Medical Care

At Teddy's Place, we provide 24-hour general nursing care with nurses, doctors and aides who are trained to work with residents with memory loss. We tailor our activities and care specifically to those with memory loss. Residents may keep their own doctors, as long as they will make house calls. They may also choose to use doctors who work specifically with Cedar Hill and its residents. We also have registered rehabilitation specialists and other health care professionals who work with our residents and staff.

Pharmacy

Cedar Hill has a contractual agreement with a pharmacy that specializes in providing medications and consultation to long-term care facilities. All of a resident's medicines can be bought through that pharmacy, or the family can choose to use a different pharmacy under certain circumstances.

A good meal is easy to find

The quality of our food is important to residents, families and Cedar Hil staffl. We eat here too! For breakfast, we might offer cream of wheat, fried eggs, sausage and toast. The main meal of our day is mid-day. We might serve baked lasagna, shepherd's pie, roast beef, beef stew with biscuits, roast pork or "the catch of the day." Our desserts might be bread pudding or ice cream or brownies. For supper, we serve a lighter meal that often includes soup and a salad plate or sandwich. In the summer, we have BBQs on our large front patio.

Housekeeping, Laundry and a Beauty Shop

We have a laundry service for personal clothing. Housekeeping attends to each resident's room daily. We have hair salong and the services of a licensed cosmetologist are available to residents weekly.

Small Pets

We do allow our residents to have small pets. We have a special charge to care for each pet. If you would like to bring a pet to Cedar Hill, please speak with us about it. We are a pet-friendly facility. Teddy's Place has its own fish tank.
