Teddy's Place: ACTIVITIES

calm, yet stimulating

Teddy's Place provides a secured living area for persons with memory loss who need close supervision and care. Teddy's Place has large light-filled common areas that provide ample space for walking and for social activities. We strive to provide a calm yet stimulating environment that enhances each resident's quality of life and decreases the behavioral symptoms that often accompany Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. We schedule activity programming at intervals throughout the day and evening hours.

Activities include exercise programs to music, art work, sing-a-longs, outside rides during warm weather, gardening in the enclosed courtyard, pet therapy, simple crafts, games, and joining in to enjoy entertainment from our other communities.

It is impossible to express our feelings to each and every one of you. You are all very special and, at a time when we were consumed with fear and uncertainty, you took over and made us feel welcome and comfortable about how our loved one would be cared for through specialized care and, most of all, safe. From the very day that we walked into Cedar Hill with my father, we never, ever, had another worry about the quality of care he would receive.
