Respite Care at Cedar Hill

Peace of Mind when you CAN't Be There

All families or care givers need a break, whether for vacation, a family emergency, the loss of an in-home care giver, or just to "catch up" on life. And they need to know that they are leaving their relative or friend in a place that will provide quality and loving care.

At Cedar Hill, we offer respite services at all levels of care: in our independent and assisted living homes, at Victorian House, and in our health care center.

At the Village, we rent our studio apartment only for respite services.

You can schedule respite care for as few as three days to as long as needed. We have had respite residents for a few days to several weeks. We also have had residents who started in our health care center for rehabilitation and improved enough to move to the Village to continue their care until they felt up to returning to independent life back at their own homes.

All of our respite residents enjoy all of the services and amenities that Cedar Hill provides our permanent residents. They join us on shopping or restaurant trips, for our in-house musical entertainment, and can take our exercise classes. All meals and snacks are included, as are our medical services.

One respite resident said his time at the Village was "quiet, beautiful and very relaxing. The staff is a caring group that lavishes attention on their residents."

Another respite resident this year enjoyed her stay so much she returned to permanently take a Village apartment. And her family felt very comfortable making that move after seeing the care she received while they were out of town.

The cost of respite care varies with the level of care needed. If you are interested in our respite services, please call either Village Director Sue Spadaro at (802) 674-2254 or Cedar Hill Admissions and Social Services Coordinator Kathleen Eames at (802) 674-6609.
