Living Areas

Cedar Hill strives to give each resident activities to meet their needs. From our fresh, home-cooked meals to daily events and activities, our residents participate in many of the same activities they did at home.  And now we have built even more areas for activities, fitness and socializing, including outdoor gardens and porches and we have many more options for residents to choose from. In addition, we offer off-site activities such as transportation to  tennis, racquetball, indoor and outdoor pools, and more.

Independent and Assisted-Living Activity Areas

Our new facilities are designed to suit every interest. The Dining Room offers a home-like atmosphere, and fresh, local food. The cozy Living Room has a warm fireplace and is a comfortable setting to relax with new friends. “The Ship’s Wheel”, our intimate Pub, featuring prints of beautiful old cruise ships, is the perfect spot for refreshments and good conversation. While there, you can try our two new pool tables, have a game of backgammon or just read the paper. Our large Activity Room is a great place for cards, games and crafts, or get a good workout in our Fitness Center which offers exercise and wellness classes. The Library/Computer Center is well-stocked with books, magazines and newspapers, and you can surf the web, check Facebook or send email. Our Greenhouse/Art Facility is a fun place for gardening and creativity, and we even have a full-service Salon.

Memory Care Activity Areas

Our dedicated Memory Care unit offers secure activity areas where residents congregate for meals, activities and socializing. Residents enjoy fresh, home-cooked meals in our warm Country Kitchen or Dining Room.  Friends and family visit in our comfortable TV Room. The Greenhouse/Art Center offers residents a bright, sunny area for activities, which are designed to engage and stimulate residents with cognitive/memory issues. There is also a large Activity Room for crafts and games and plenty of space for walking and exercise. Outside there is a secure Porch and Garden, and we encourage residents to enjoy the outdoors whenever possible.

Wellness Care

Cedar Hill encourages all our residents to take a proactive approach to staying healthy and fit. Fitness – Residents may participate in our exercise, stretching and yoga classes or use our fitness center. Many residents enjoy gentle Tai Chi, strolling our garden paths and grounds, or other activities to keep fit. We even partner with area facilities for swimming, tennis and racquetball and transportation is provided. Wellness – For those who may need some extra care, or help with arthritis or other chronic conditions, we offer massage, therapeutic services, and we have a dedicated exam room on-site for medical exams. Nutrition – Our chefs create delicious, well balanced, home-cooked meals. There is an emphasis on using fresh, local ingredients and serving tempting dishes with plenty of nutrition. Of course, special dietary needs are provided for as well.
