Cedar Hill offers a continuum of care from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing  and rehabilitation care to comfortable and dignified end-of-life care.  It is all here on the same campus with the same loving family of caregivers.

This means that if your health should change, you only make one move. With an assisted living-only facility, a hospital stay or a deterioration in health often means you need to change communities and leave the friends and staff you've grown accustomed to. Because we offer a range of options -- from independent living to skilled nursing care -- that is not the case at Cedar Hill.

Keep Your Savings

Choosing Cedar Hill means you can keep your savings.  You do not "buy into" our community.  You pay for the level of service that you choose and need on a monthly basis.  Most continuing care communities require a substantial financial deposit and commitment on your part. Cedar Hill does not believe in that approach. You earned the right to retain your savings for as long as possible. 

FAMILY OWNED

We are a Vermont family-owned company founded by two nurses experienced in long-term care in 1988. Today Cedar Hill is owned by one of those nurses and her daughter.

This year, I celebrated  my golden anniversary as a registered nurse. I graduated from Boston College School of Nursing in 1956. I have spent the greater part of my professional career in geriatric nursing and long-term care administration.

I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to build a community that provides varied housing options and levels of care for our elders. Cedar Hill has truly been the fulfillment of a lifelong desire to do what I love best: working with our elders. It takes many dedicated, loving, and competent employees to provide high-quality care and services. They are an essential part of what makes Cedar Hill a good place to call home for our residents. We know that we are fulfilling our mission each time we have a satisfied resident and family. That is my greatest reward.
